Artist Statement

Photography is my way of telling stories—a language that allows me to connect personal experiences to questions that extend beyond the individual.

Memory, fear, loss, the body, identity, and the relationship between human beings and power are recurring themes throughout my work.

A literal record of the visible world is not my destination, but my point of departure; I draw on the world around me as raw material for creating meaning, striving to create images that invite viewers to pause, imagine, and continue the narrative in their own minds.
